NOTICE UNDER PARAGRAPH 8 OF SCHEDULE 16 TO THE ACT

Notice is hereby given that Norwich & Peterborough Building Society, Register Number 437B, whose principal office is at Peterborough Business Park, Lynch Wood, Peterborough PE2 6WZ, desires to transfer its engagements to Yorkshire Building Society, Register Number 66B, and that each society has applied to the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to confirm the transfer.

Notice is hereby given that Yorkshire Building Society, Register Number 66B, whose principal office is at Yorkshire House, Yorkshire Drive, Bradford BD5 8LJ, desires to accept a transfer of the engagements of Norwich & Peterborough Building Society, Register Number 437B, and that each society has applied to the FSA to confirm the transfer.

Any interested party may make written representations to the FSA and/or give notice of intention to make oral representations to the FSA with respect to the application. Written representations or notice of a person’s intention to make oral representations at a hearing should be received by the Financial Services Authority, 11th Floor, Building Societies & Credit Unions Department, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 5HS, marked “Norwich & Peterborough representations” or by e-mail to nandpbs.representations@fsa.gov.uk on or before 16 September 2011. If notice is given of oral representations these will be heard by the FSA on 29 September 2011, at a time and place to be determined by the FSA.
