The London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames Free Parking Places (Disabled Persons) (Amendment No. 18) Order 1997

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames, on 29th December 1997, made the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The effects of the Order are to introduce parking bays, operational at all times, for the use of Orange Badge holders in Clarence Road, Teddington, outside No. 17; Longford Road, Whitton, outside No. 45; Lyric Road, Barnes, outside Nos. 81-83; Mays Road, Hampton Hill, outside No. 34; Newry Road, Twickenham, outside No. 28; Oldfield, Road, Hampton, outside No. 3; Park Hill, Richmond, outside Nos. 43-47; River Mead Avenue, Twickenham, outside No. 17 and Selkirk Road, Twickenham, outside No. 96.   Bays are revoked in Gould Road, Twickenham, outside No. 39; Oldfield Road, Hampton, outside No. 13; Rosslyn Avenue, Barnes, outside No. 3; Shrewsbury Avenue, East Sheen, outside No. 30 and Strathmore Road, Teddington, outside No. 33.   The Order will come into operation on 5th January 1998.   Copies of the Order, the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames Free Parking Places (Disabled Persons) Order 1994, and of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, together with plans showing the lengths of roads affected, can be inspected at the:   (a) Civic Centre, (Second Floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham, between 9.15 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays;   (b) Central Reference Library, Old Town Hall, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond;   (c) East Sheen Library, Sheen Lane;   (d) Hampton Library, Rosehill;   (e) Hampton Hill Library, Windmill Road;   (f) Heathfield Library, Percy Road;   (g) Teddington Library, Waldegrave Road;   (h) Twickenham Reference Library, Garfield Road.   Copies of the Order may be purchased from Highways and Transport, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ.   Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any Instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court. 2nd January 1998.
