Notice of application for a licence to abstract water
Take notice that the British Waterways Board, of Willow Grange, Church Road, Watford, Hertfordshire WD1 3QA, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the Huddersfield Broad Canal, at National Grid Reference SE 148 176, at the premises of James Robinson Ltd, PO Box B3, Hillhouse Lane, Huddersfield. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 35 cubic metres per hour, 840 cubic metres per day, and 170,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for non-evaporative cooling, process use, and hosing-down. A copy of the application and any map, plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at James Robinson Ltd, PO Box B3, Hillhouse Lane, Huddersfield HD1 6BU, between 12th January and 12th February 1998. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to Environment Agency, North East Region, Olympia House, Gelderd Lane, Gelderd Road, Leeds LS12 6DD, before the end of the said period.
