Notice of application for a licence to abstract water
Take notice that Anthony John Barwell, of 76 Lower Queen Street, Sutton Coldfield, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from River Meese at National Grid Reference SJ 753 208 at Meretown, near Newport, Shropshire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 1,400 cubic metres per day, 7,000 cubic metres per year, between November and March each year. The water will be used for raising the water level of Moss Pool. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The National Foaling Bank, Meretown, between 5th January 1998 and 20th February 1998. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Hafren House, Welshpool Road, Shelton, Shrewsbury SY3 8BB, before the end of the said period.
