Notice of application for a licence to abstract water
Take notice that D. Tristram, of Walberton Nursery, Yapton Lane, Walberton, Arundel, West Sussex, is applying to the Environment Agency Southern Area Office for a licence to abstract water from Underground Chalk at National Grid Reference SU 9764 0518, at Walberton Lane, in the parish of Walberton, in the county of West Sussex. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 24 cubic metres per hour, 450 cubic metres per day, 54,000 cubic metres per year, between 1st January and 31st December each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation of protected and outdoor container grown crops. A copy of the application and of any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the offices of D. Tristram, Walberton Nursery, Yapton Lane, Walberton, Arundel, West Sussex, between 8th January 1998 and 5th February 1998. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency Southern Area Office, Ridgeworth House, Liverpool Gardens, Worthing, West Sussex BN11 1TF, before the end of the said period.
