The A3 Trunk Road (Wisley Interchange) (Closure of a Lay-by) Order 199 

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make a permanent Order under sections 1(1) and 2(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the A3 Trunk Road in the County of Surrey.   The effect of the Order would be to prohibit all vehicles from using the lay-by on the eastern side of the slip road leading to the southbound carriageway of the A3, southwards from its junction with Old Lane for a distance of 125 metres, at Wisley Interchange (M25—Junction 10).   A copy of the draft Order, a plan illustrating the proposal and a statement explaining why the Secretary of State proposes to make the Order may be inspected during office hours at the offices of Guildford Borough Council, Millmead House, Millmead, Guildford, at those of Elmbridge Borough Council, Finance Administration Office, Civic Centre, High Street, Eshre, and during opening hours at Cobham Library, Cedar Road, Cobham.   Any person desiring to object or make representations to the Secretary of State’s proposal should send, not later than 2nd February 1998, a written statement of his or her representation or objection and of the grounds thereof to the Area Manager, Highways Agency, Floor 2, Federated House, London Road, Dorking, Surrey RH4 1SZ, quoting the reference MSE 5076/A3/0/41/7/8.
