The Taunton Deane Borough (Bradford-on-Tone A38) (50 m.p.h. Speed Limit) Order 1998

Public Notice Affecting the A38 at Heatherton Grange

Notice is hereby given that Taunton Deane Borough Council proposes to make an Order under sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to impose a 50 m.p.h. speed limit on the following sections of roads:    A38 Heatherton Grange   (a) From a point 170 metres south west of its junction with the Class III road leading to Ham/Nynehead running in a north-easterly direction for approximately 1,580 metres to a point 290 metres north-east of the Heatherton Grange crossroads.   (b) On the adjoining roads leading to Bradford-on-Tone and West Buckland for a distance of approximately 40 metres and 140 metres respectively.   The existing de-restriction Order titled “The Taunton Deane Borough (Bradford-on-Tone A38) (Speed De-Restriction) Order 1986” will be revoked where it relates to the above lengths of roads.   Full details of the proposal site are in the draft Order which, together with a map showing the location of the roads and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected at The Deane House, Belvedere Road, Taunton during normal office hours.   If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send your grounds for objection in writing to reach the undersigned by 30th January 1998.
