(A) Bus Stop Clearways (Amendment No. 2) Order 1998

(B) Loading Places (Amendment No. 7) Order 1998

(C) Waiting and Loading Restriction (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. 22) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames, on 5th January 1998, made the above Orders under section 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The effects of the Orders are to:   (A) introduce bus stop clearways, operational between 7 a.m. and midnight throughout the week, outside Nos. 426 to 430 Richmond Road, Ham and Nos. 21 to 27 Upper Ham Road, Ham;   (B) introduce a loading bay with a maximum period of stay of 20 minutes, operational between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, to the west side of Richmond Road, Ham, outside Nos. 303 to 307;   (C)  (i) upgrade the existing waiting and loading restrictions in Richmond Road, Ham, to operate “at any time” between No. 414 Richmond Road and its junctions with Dukes Avenue and Tudor Drive, upgrade the existing waiting restrictions on the east side of Richmond Road to operate “at any time” outside No. 432 Richmond Road, downgrade the waiting and loading restrictions on the east side of Richmond Road between Nos. 416 and 424 to operate between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Mondays to Fridays and to revoke the existing waiting restrictions on the west side of Richmond Road outside Nos. 313-315 and on the east side of Upper Ham Road outside Parkleys Parade;    (ii) upgrade the existing waiting restrictions at the junctions of Hampton Road and Park Road with High Street, Hampton Hill, to operate “at any time”.   The Orders will come into operation on 12th January 1998.   Copies of the Orders and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders together with plans showing the lengths of road affected can be inspected at the:   (a) Civic Centre, (Second Floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham, between 9.15 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays;   (b) Central Reference Library, Old Town Hall, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond, during opening hours;   (c) Ham Library, Ham Street, during opening hours;   (d) Hampton Hill Library, Windmill Road, during opening hours.   Copies of the Orders may be purchased from Highways and Transport, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ.   Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act or of any Instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court. 9th January 1998.
