The East Sussex (Eastbourne Central Area Controlled Parking Zone) (Consolidation) Order 1990 Amendment Order No. 1 1998

Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County Council propose to make an Order under sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3), 4(2), 32(1) and 35(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would amend the 1990 Order as described below:

Prohibition of Waiting “At Any Time”

   Bolton Road, east side, from Lismore Road, northwards to 67.4 metres south of the northern boundary of No. 4, and from 41 metres south of Lismore Road, northwards for 19 metres. West side, from Cornfield Road and the outer kerb-line of Memorial roundabout, northwards to the boundary between Nos. 17 and 15, from 10 metres north of Nos. 17 and 15, northwards for 9.5 metres, from 28.5 metres north of Nos. 17 and 15, northwards for 6.5 metres, from 50 metres north of Nos. 17 and 15, northwards, for 10.5 metres, and from 75 metres north of Nos. 17 and 15, northwards for a distance of 12 metres.    Cavendish Place, north-east side, from Bourne Street, south-eastwards to 28.5 metres south-east of Ashford Road, from 37.5 metres south-east of Ashford Road, south-eastwards for 10 metres, from 56.5 metres south-east of Ashford Road, south-eastwards for 28.5 metres, from 132 metres south-east of Ashford Road, south-eastwards to 14 metres south-east of Langney Road, and from 14 metres north-west of Pevensey Road, to 21 metres south-east of Seaside Road. South-west side, from Ashford Square, south-eastwards to 30.5 metres south-east of Ashford Road, from 56.5 metres south-east of Ashford Road, south-eastwards for 28.5 metres, from 104 metres south-east of Ashford Road, south-eastwards for 57 metres, from 189 metres south-east of Ashford Road, south-eastwards to 14 metres south-east of Pevensey Road, and from 49 metres south-east of Pevensey Road, to 27 metres south-east of Seaside Road.    Hyde Road, north-east side, from 64 metres south-east of Grove Road, south-eastwards for 7 metres, and from Gildredge Road, north-westwards for 7 metres. South-east side, from Gildredge Road, north-westwards for 7 metres.

Prohibition of Waiting on Mondays to Saturdays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

  The removal of existing restrictions from the west side of Bolton Road and 7 metres from the north-east side of Hyde Gardens.

Waiting Area Limited to 2 hours in any 4 hours Mondays to Saturdays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

   Cavendish Place, north-east side, from 14 metres south-east of Langney Road, south-eastwards to 14 metres north-west of Pevensey Road, and from 21 metres south-west, of Seaside Road, south-eastwards for 87 metres. South-west side, from 14 metres south-east of Pevensey Road, south-eastwards for 20 metres, from 27 metres south-east of Seaside Road, south-eastwards for 70 metres, and from 6 metres north-west of Grand Parade, north-westwards for 20 metres.

Waiting Area Limited to 30 minutes in any period of 2 Hours Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

   Cavendish Place, north-east side, from 28.5 metres south-east of Ashford Road, south-eastwards for 9 metres, from 47.5 metres south-east of Ashford Road, south-eastwards for 9 metres, from 85 metres south-east of Ashford Road, south-eastwards for 47 metres. South-west side, from 30.5 metres south-east of Ashford Road, south-eastwards for 26 metres, from 85 metres south-east of Ashford Road, south-eastwards for 19 metres, and from 161 metres south-east of Ashford Road, south-eastwards for 28 metres.

Prohibition of Waiting and Loading Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. inclusive

   Terminus Road, south side, from 1 metre east of Bolton Road, eastwards for 30 metres.

Prohibition of Loading or Unloading “At Any Time”

  The removal of some existing prohibited loading and unloading from Bolton Road, west side, excepting that from 120 metres north of Nos. 17 and 15, northwards to Terminus Road.    Bolton Road, east side, from Lismore Road, northwards to 67.4 metres south of No. 4, and from 15 metres north of No. 4, northwards to Terminus Road.    Lismore Road, north side, from Bolton Road, eastwards for 6 metres.    Terminus Road, south side, from Bolton Road, eastwards for 11 metres.

Heavy Commercial and Goods Vehicle only loading Bay “At All Times”

   Bolton Road, east side, from 15 metres north of the northern boundary of No. 4, southwards for 37 metres.   A copy of the draft Order, plan showing the length of road affected and a statement of the County Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, together with the parts of old Orders which are being revoked, may be examined in the main Reception area at the County Council’s Legal & Community Services Department Offices, Sackville House, Brooks Close, Lewes, on Mondays to Fridays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. inclusive, at Eastbourne Library, Grove Road and in the main Reception area at Eastbourne Borough Council, Town Hall Grove Road until 6th February 1998.   Any objection to the proposal, together with the grounds on which it is made, should be made to the Legal & Community Services Department, Sackville House, Brooks Close, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 1UE, in writing no later than 6th February 1998.
