The City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Amendment No. 536) Order 1998

St. Petersburgh Place

Notice is hereby given that the Westminster City Council, on 7th January 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   The general effect of the Order will be to further amend the City of Westminster (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1976, so that in the lengths of the street specified in the Schedule to this Notice, the hours during which the existing prohibition applies on:   (a) waiting by vehicles (otherwise than for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle) will be changed so that it will apply at any time;   (b) waiting by vehicles for more than 20 minutes in the same place for the purpose of delivering or collecting goods or loading or unloading a vehicle will be changed so that it will apply between 11 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., throughout the week.   The Order, which will come into force on 12th January 1998, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Hyder Consulting Ltd., 29 Bressenden Place, London SW1E 5DZ, until 18th February 1998.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 18th February 1998.   St. Petersburgh Place, the west side:   (a) between a point 2.1 metres north of the common boundary of Lancaster Close and No. 17 St. Petersburgh Place and a point 6 metres south of that common boundary;   (b) between a point 6.3 metres north of the common boundary of Lancaster Close and St. Olaves Court, St. Petersburgh Place and a point 4.5 metres south of that common boundary;   (c) between a point 13.9 metres south of the common boundary of Lancaster Close and St. Olaves Court, St. Petersburgh Place and a point 28.5 metres south of that boundary. 8th January 1998.
