ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The A6 Trunk Road (Haddon Road, Bakewell)(Prohibition of Waiting) Order 199 

The Secretary of State for Transport gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 1(1) and 2(1) and (2) of paragraph 27 of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.   The effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting at any time on any day in the length of the trunk road specified in the Schedule to this notice.   Exceptions have been provided in the Order to enable a vehicle to be used:   (1) in connection with any building operation or demolition;   (2) for the removal of any obstruction to traffic;   (3) for the maintenance of the road or services therein;   (4) for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes;   (5) by a local authority or water company in pursuance of their respective statutory powers or duties;   (6) to properties accessible only to and from the trunk road or, when the person in control of the vehicle is required to stop:   (a) by law;   (b) in order to avoid an accident;   (c) due to circumstances outside the person’s control.   A copy of the proposed Order, a plan illustrating the proposals and a statement of reasons explaining the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during office hours at the office of the County Secretary, Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock, Derbyshire DE4 3AG; or may be obtained by application to the Director. The Highways Agency, Network and Customer Services Division, Room 705, Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE.   Any person desiring to object to the Secretary of State’s proposals to make this Order should send a written statement of their objections and grounds thereof to the Highways Agency at the address given above quoting NOD/0/A6/0/41/29/1/1.
