TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of West Yorkshire) (Calderdale No. 1) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of North Parade, Culver Street, Weymouth Street, Portland Street, and an area of highway forming part of the Burdock Way/Orange Street roundabout in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Director of Planning, Transport and Environment at the Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber, PO Box 213, City House, New Station Street, Leeds LS1 4US (quoting reference YHDOT A4710/35/1/13), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council, Highways and Technical Services, Northgate House, Northgate, Halifax. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 15th January 1998 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
