Stopping-up of Highways at Manchester City Centre
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that on the application of Levitt Bernstein Associates on behalf of the Royal Exchange Theatre Company, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (City of Manchester) (No. 1) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of part of the easterly side of Exchange Street, Manchester fronting and adjacent to a main public access to the Royal Exchange Theatre. Copies of the Order may be inspected, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport), Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE, (quoting reference GO/TNW 5082/35/1/62) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Manchester City Council, Town Hall, Albert Square, Manchester. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of 15th January 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
