Royal County of Berkshire (Glebe Road, Reading)(Prohibition of Driving) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the County Council of the Royal County of Berkshire has made an Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) to 3 and 3(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, details of which appeared in The London Gazette dated 13th September 1996, the issue number of which was 54524 (Ref. 518). The effect of the Order is as described in that notice.   The Order was made on 9th January 1998 and will come into operation on 16th January 1998.   Copies of the Order, statement of reasons and relevant map can be inspected during the hours of 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m., Monday to Friday, at the offices of Reading Borough Council, Civic Centre, Reading and at the County Solicitor’s office at the address given below.   If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 9th January 1998 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
