TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he proposes to make
an Order under section 247 of the above Act, which will authorise the stopping-up
of three areas of highway, all at Downsview Way, Hailsham, in the county of East Sussex.
If the Order is made, the stopping-up will be authorised only in order to enable
the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance
with the planning permission granted by Wealden District Council, on 23rd September
1997, under Ref. WD/97/1661/DC.
Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable
hours during the 28 days commencing on 21st January 1998, at the offices of Wealden
District Council, Council Offices, Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, East Sussex BN27 2AX,
and may be obtained, free of charge, from the Head of Transport (East), Government
Office for the South East (quoting Ref. GOSE/ 029/001/WEAL/001), at the address below.
During the above-mentioned period of 28 days anyone may object to the making of
the Order by writing to the Secretary of State, quoting Ref. GOSE/029/001/WEAL/001,
and addressing their objection to the Head of Transport (East), Government Office
for the South East, First Floor, Bridge House, 1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford GU1
4GA. In the preparation of an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance
of any objection may be communicated to the applicant and other people who may be
affected by it.
