The A41 Trunk Road (Bicester Road, Aylesbury) (40 m.p.h. Speed Limit) Order

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the A41 Trunk Road, in the District of Aylesbury Vale, in the county of Buckinghamshire.   The effect of the Order, would be to impose a 40 m.p.h. speed limit on the following lengths of the A41 at Aylesbury:   (a) the length of the A41 from Rabans Lane roundabout to the Jackson Road roundabout;   (b) the circulatory carriageway of Jackson Road roundabout; and   (c) the length of the A41 from the Jackson Road Roundabout to a point 240 metres west of that roundabout; a total distance of approximately 640 metres.   A copy of the draft Order, of a plan illustrating the proposal, and of a statement explaining why the Secretary of State proposes to make the Order, may be inspected during office hours at the offices of Buckinghamshire County Council, County Hall, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire; Aylesbury Vale District Council, Friars Square Offices, 4 Great Western Street, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire; and during opening hours at Aylesbury County Reference Library, County Offices, Walton Street, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire.   Any person desiring to object to the Secretary of State’s proposal should send, not later than Monday, 16th February 1998, a written statement of his or her objection and of the grounds thereof to The Area Manager, Floor 2B, Highways Agency, Federated House, London Road, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1SZ, quoting Ref.
