TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that on the application of Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (Metropolitan Borough of Bolton) (No. 2) Order 1997” authorising the stopping-up of part of the northerly side of Deansgate, Bolton, fronting the Royal Bank of Scotland at Nos. 46-48 Deansgate.   Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport), Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE, (quoting reference GO/TNW/5080/35/1/22) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, The Reception, First Floor, Town Hall, Bolton BL1 1RU.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act, or of any regulation made thereunder, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the 21st January 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
