Notice of Intention to Apply for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways act 1980, for the Stopping-up of a Highway in the District of Gravesham. Notice is hereby given that an application will be made to the Magistrates sitting at The Court House, Old Town Hall, High Street, Gravesend, Kent, on Wednesday, 25th February 1998, at 10 a.m., for the stopping-up of highway rights over that part of Park Place, Gravesend, between its junction with Milton Road, Gravesend, and a point 42 metres south-east of its junction with Ordnance Road, Gravesend. The application is made on the grounds that the said area of highway is no longer necessary and was adjourned from a hearing on 10th June 1997, which hearing date was advertised by notices in Kent Today and The London Gazette (No. 54761), and both dated 9th May 1997. A plan showing the effect of the proposed Order is available for inspection, free of charge, during office hours in the Branch Service Unit, Kent County Council, Highways and Transportation Department, Sandling Block, Springfield, Maidstone, Kent, and at the offices of the Legal Services Manager, Gravesham Borough Council, Civic Centre, Gravesend, Kent. On the hearing of the application any person to whom notice has been given, any person who uses the said highway and any other person who would be aggrieved by the Order applied for will have the right to be heard.
