The Camden (Prescribed Route) (No. 1) Traffic Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Camden, on 19th January 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of, and Part II of Schedule 9 of, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, so as to reproduce and continue in force indefinitely the provisions contained within The Camden (Prescribed Route) (No. 2) Experimental Traffic Order 1996/No. 27, the details of which have been previously published in The London Gazette, on 25th July 1996, under Ref. No. (525).   The general effect of the Order will be to continue in force indefinitely the cycle lane in Argyle Street, which lies on the south-west side between the south-western kerb-line of Grays Inn Road and a point opposite the western flank wall of No. 106 Argyle Street.   A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 24th January 1998, and of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Order, may be inspected or purchased during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at the Environment Department reception, Fifth Floor, Camden Town Hall, Argyle Street Entrance, London WC1H 8EQ.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that a requirement of any such enabling Act or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
