24305130 Warrant Officer Class 2 Aminul Islam, QGM, The Royal Logistic Corps.   For his conspicuous gallantry in disarming two improvised explosive devices that had been placed alongside the M6 motorway at Walsall by terrorists on 3rd April 1997. At great risk to his own life he acted to prevent loss of life and disruption to the transport system.

Petty Officer Aircrewman Philip James W arrington, D159201U.   For his gallantry in an air/sea rescue operation off the Cornish coast on 6th February 1996 in which, as a helicopter winchman, he repeatedly braved storm conditions to save the lives of two crew members of a stricken Belgian trawler.
