Stopping-up of a Highway at Waterfoot, Rossendale, Lancashire
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that on the application of Mrs. J. Cunliffe, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-Up of Highways (County of Lancashire) (No. 1) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of a footpath leading from Edgeside Lane to Wales Road at Waterfoot, Rossendale at the rear of No. 239 Edgeside Lane. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport), Sunley Tower, Piccadily Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE, (quoting Ref. GO/TNW 5063/35/1/46) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Rossendale Borough Council, Town Hall, Rawtenstall BB4 7LZ Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of 23rd January 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
