Notice of application for licence to abstract water

Take notice that Glencairn Stuart Ogilvie of Hawsells Farm, Red House Lane, Leiston, Suffolk IP16 4LS is applying to the Environment Agency for two licences to abstract water from wellpoints at National Grid References TM 465 612 and TM 468 630 at Sizewell Estate, Leiston, Suffolk.
  This application is to replace without change in quantities (or rates of abstraction) the abstraction authorised by licence No. 7/35/3/71 which expires on 30th September 1998 and licence No. 7/35/3/77 which expires on 31st October 1999. A reduction in the area of land available for irrigation and an extension of irrigation period from September to October on licence No. 7/35/3/71 are proposed.
  The water will be used for spray irrigation.
  A copy of the applications and maps and other documents submitted with them may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Hawsells Farm, Red House Lane, Leiston between 23rd January and 27th February 1998.
  Any person who wishes to make representations about the applications should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region, Eastern Area, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE before the end of the said period.
