Notice of application for a licence to abstract water
Take notice that Burnley Golf Club of Glen View, Burnley, Lancashire BB11 3RW, is
applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a spring fed
tank at National Grid Reference SD 8410 3010 at Habergameaves, Burnley.
The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 13.6 cubic metres per
hour, 17 cubic metres per day, 2,000 cubic metres between 1st April and 31st October
each year.
The water will be used for spray irrigation of golf greens.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with
it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Secretary’s Office,
Burnley Golf Club, between 23rd January and 24th February 1998.
Any person who wishes to make representations about this application should do
so in writing to the Environment Agency, Lutra House, Dodd Way, off Seedlee Road,
Bamber Bridge, Preston PR5 8BX, before the end of the said period.
