LONDON BOROUGH OF LAMBETH
Proposed reversal of one-way working in Ferndale Road and Banned Right Turn from Brixton Road into Ferndale Road
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Lambeth propose to
make the Lambeth (Prescribed Routes) (No. ) Traffic Order 199 under sections 6
and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
The general nature and effect of the Order would be to:
(a) reverse the direction of the existing one-way working for vehicles in that
part of Ferndale Road which lies between Brixton Road and Nursery Road, so that the
one-way working would apply in a direction from east to west (towards its junction
with Nursery Road); and
(b) prohibit the right turn by vehicles from Brixton Road into Ferndale Road.
If you have any enquiries about the proposal, please telephone 0171-926 7099 during
office hours.
A copy of the proposed Order and of documents giving more detailed particulars
of the proposed Order are available for inspection between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.,
on Mondays to Fridays, at the Council’s offices at Courteney House, 9-15 New Park
Road, London S.W.2, until the last day of the period of 6 weeks beginning with the
date on which the Order is made, or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to
make the Order.
All objections and other representations relating to the proposed Order must be
made in writing and all objections must specify the grounds on which they are made
and should be sent to the Manager of Transport Planning Group, Environmental Services,
Courtenay House, London SW2 4DU, by 16th February 1998.
T. Hall, Acting Director of Environmental Services 23rd January 1998.
