Declaration of Nature Reserve, Isle of Sheppey, County of Kent
Notice is hereby given in pursuance of section 19 of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 and section 35 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, that by the Elmley National Nature Reserve No. 1 Declaration 1998, made on 27th January 1998, the Nature Conservancy Council for England declared that the land containing 931.3 hectares or thereabouts situated in the Isle of Sheppey, in the county of Kent and shown shaded on the plan attached to the said Declaration is being held by E.C.T. (Conservation) Limited, a body approved by the Council, and managed as a nature reserve. Certified copies of the Elmley National Nature Reserve No. 1 Declaration 1998 have been deposited for public inspection, free of charge, during normal office hours at the offices of Kent County Council and Swale Borough Council and at the offices of the Nature Conservancy Council for England at Northminster House, Peterborough and Wye, Kent.
