Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that West Lancashire Golf Club, of Hall Road West, Blundellsands, Liverpool L23 8Z, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the Sandstone at National Grid Reference SD 3014 0088, at Hall Road West, Blundellsands, Liverpool L23 8Z.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 27.29 cubic metres per hour, 245.5 cubic metres per day, 21,603 cubic metres between 1st April and 30th October each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the above address between 28th January and 28th February 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, PO Box 519, South Preston PR5 8GD, before the end of the said period.
