Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that South Herts Golf Club, of Links Drive, Totteridge, London N20 8QU, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from chalk, at National Grid Reference TQ 2545 9475, at South Herts Golf Club.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 21 cubic metres per hour, 482 cubic metres per day, 38,560 cubic metres between April and October each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation of golf course.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at South Herts Golf Club, between 28th January 1998 and 28th February 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Team Leader, Water Resources, Apollo Court, 2 Bishop Square Business Park, St. Albans Road West, Hatfield, Hertfordshire AL10 9EX, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
