Notice of application to vary a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Robert Andrew Barr, Andrew Brown Barr and James Barr & Sons (Farmers) Ltd., all of Manor Farm, Knodishall, Saxmundham, Suffolk IP17 1TL, are applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 7/35/3/G/1 which authorises the abstraction of water from the crag aquifer at National Grid Reference TM 428 612, at Manor Farm, Knodishall, Saxmundham, Suffolk.   The variation being applied for is to change to the method of abstraction from twenty wellpoints 9 metres deep to one well 45 metres deep.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Manor Fam, Knodishall, Saxmundham, Suffolk, between 3rd February 1998 and 3rd March 1998 inclusive.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region, Eastern Area, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
