The London Borough of Enfield Chase Side, Southgate—Change to a School Entrance Marking

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield, on 26th January 1998, made the Enfield (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) (Speical Parking Area) (Amendment No. 1) Order 1998, under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the Order will be to amend the Enfield (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) (Special Parking Area) (No. 1) Order 1995, so that the restrictions imposed by that Order which apply in the length of Chase Side, Southgate, specified in Schedule 1 to this Order will cease to apply thereto, and instead such restrictions will apply during school term time between 8.15 a.m. and 9.15 a.m. and between 2.45 p.m. and 4.15 p.m., on Mondays to Fridays inclusive in the length of Chase Side, Southgate, specified in Schedule 2 to this Order.   A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 4th February 1998, of a map indicating the location and effect of the Order, of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order, and of the Enfield (Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools) (Special Paking Area) (No. 1) Order 1995, (and of the Orders which have previously amended that Order), can be inspected at the Reception Desk, “B” Block, the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XD, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.   Copies of the Order, may be obtained from the Traffic Engineering Group, the Borough Engineer’s Department, the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.    Chase Side, Southgate, the north-east side, between a point 3 metres south-east of the common boundary of Nos. 228 to 230 Chase Side south-eastward for a distance of 31.56 metres.

Schedule 2
New School Entrance Marking 8.15 a.m. to 9.15 a.m. and 2.45 p.m. to 4.15 p.m., Mondays to Fridays

   Chase Side, Southgate, the north-east side, from the common boundary of Nos. 230 and 232 Chase Side south-eastward for a distance of 43.56 metres. 26th January 1998.
