Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Enfield, on 19th January 1998, made the Enfield (Short Term Parking Places) (Arnos Grove) (Special Parking Area) (No. 1) Order 1998, under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The general effect of the Order will be to:   (a) revoke the designation by the Enfield (Short Term Parking Places) (Arnos Grove) (Special Parking Area) (No. 1) Order 1997, of the parking place numbered 4 therein situated in Bowes Road;   (b) designate a free short term parking place in Bowes Road in which vehicles authorised by the Order may be left for a period of one hour without charge between 8 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive (Christmas Day, Good Friday and Bank Holidays excepted);   (c) provide that no vehicle which has left the parking place referred to in sub-paragraph (b) above may return to that parking place within a period of one hour;   (d) specify, in respect of the free short term parking place, that passenger vehicles (12 seats or less), goods carrying vehicles, motor cycles or invalid carriages may be left therein;   (e) provide that certain other vehicles may wait in the parking place in certain circumstances.   A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 4th February 1998, of a map indicating the location and effect of the Order, of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and of the Enfield (Short Term Parking Places) (Special Parking Area) (No. 1) Order 1997, can be inspected at the Reception Desk, “B” Block, the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.   Copies of the Order may be obtained from the Traffic Engineering Services Division, the Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex EN1 3XD.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
