The Croydon (Restriction of Waiting on Bus Stops) Traffic Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Croydon, on 26th January 1998, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   The general effect of the Order will be to revoke the Croydon (Restriction of Waiting on Bus Stops) Traffic Order 1991, as amended, and re-enact those Orders in the form of this consolidation Order.   A copy of the Order which will come into operation on 2nd February 1998, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, until the end of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, at the Enquiry Counter, “One Stop” Facility, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.   Copies of the Order may be obtained from the Traffic and Highways section of the Public Services and Works Department, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey.   Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
