The A21 Trunk Road (Pasthcap Farm, Pembury) Side Road Order 199
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under section 14 of the Highways Act 1980, at Pembury in the county of Kent, which will; (1) authorise him to: (a) stop up a highway; and (b) provide a new highway; and (2) provide for the transfer of the new highway to Kent County Council as highway authority from the date on which he notifies them that it has been completed and is open to traffic. Copies of the draft Order and the plan referred to in it, may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours from 28th January 1998 to 11th March 1998, or within 6 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice, if that period expires later, at the Highways Agency, Room 12/27 St. Christopher House, Southwark Street, London SE1 0TE; and at the Highways Agency’s office, at Federated House, London Road, Dorking, Surrey RH4 1SZ; at the offices of Kent County Council, Highways and Transportation, Sandling Block, Springfield, Maidstone, Kent ME14 2LQ; at Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, Town Hall, Tunbridge Wells, Kent TN1 1RS, and at Pembury Library, The Hop House, Henwood Green Road, Pembury, Kent TN2 4HS. Any person may object to the making of any of this Order, not later than 11th March 1998, or within 6 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice, if that period expires later by notice to the Secretary of State at the office of the Divisional Director, Project Services Operations Division, Highways Agency, Federated House, London Road, Dorking, Surrey RH4 1SZ, quoting Ref. HA14/PS/225/D, and stating the grounds of objection. In the preparation of an objection and the statement of grounds of objection, it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it.
