Stopping up of an area of Highway at the Junction of East Hill and Styles Hill, Frome, in the County of Somerset

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Somerset) (SW1) Order 1998”, authorising the stopping up of an area of highway at the junction of East Hill and Styles Hill, Frome, in the county of Somerset, to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission referred to in that Schedule.   Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the South West (Transport), 5th Floor, The Pithay, Bristol BS1 2PB (quoting Ref. GOSW(T) 5073/35/1/70) and may be inspected at any reasonable hours at the offices of Frome Town Council, 5-6 Palmer Street, Frome. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder, has not been complield with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 29th January 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order, or of any provision contained therein.   Erect 19 houses and garages and construct estate roads on land at Styles Hill, Frome, as detailed in revised application and drawings 907/63, E16A and 17A received 26th June 1997 and house types received 11th July 1997, as amended by drawings numbers 90704E, 05A, 09B, 63A, 63B, 65A, received on 8th August 1997, granted to Beazer Homes (Bridgwater) Ltd. by Mendip District Council on 19th September 1997, under Ref. 05602/011.
