Notice of intention to adopt and of proposed modifications to proposals for a Local Plan

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Local Plan

The local inquiry into these plan proposals has been held and the report of the person holding the inquiry has been considered by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council propose to modify these plan proposals.   A list of the proposed modifications (other than modifications which the authority are satisfied will not materially affect the content of the plan proposals), with the authority’s reasons for proposing them, are available for inspection at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke and the County Libraries at Potters Walk, Basingstoke; Chineham District Centre, Chineham; Bell Street, Whitchurch and Winchester Street, Overton.   The document can be inspected at the Borough Council offices on Monday to Thursday from 8.30 a.m. until 5 p.m., and on Friday until 4.30 p.m., and at the libraries during normal opening hours.   Also available for inspection are copies of the plan proposals and the report of the person who held the local inquiry and the authority’s statement of reasons and decisions in the light of the report.   The authority do not intend to accept all of the recommendations in the report. A list of the recommendations which the authority do not intend to accept is available for inspection with the above documents.   Objections to, and representations in respect of, the proposed modifications and the intention not to modify the plan proposals in accordance with certan of the recommendations in the report should be sent in writing to the Corporate Policy Manager, Development Department, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke, Hampshire RG21 4AH, before 13th March 1998.   Objections and representations should specify the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. They may be accompanied by a request to be notified at a specified address of the withdrawal, adoption, approval or rejection of the plan proposals. (Forms for making objections or representations of support are obtainable at the places where the documents are available for inspection and with each copy of the Proposed Modifications).

Notice of intention to adopt proposals

  If no objections are received during the period given for making objections, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council intend to adopt the proposals on the expiry of that period. Acting Director of Development January 1998.
