The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Warwickshire) (No. 1) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of an area of Post Office Lane, Lighthorne, Warwick, and requiring the provision of new highway in the form of public footpath, to be referred to as public footpath SM.71, shown as stippled on the deposited plan, and consequently the diversion of part of the existing route of public footpath SM.71.   The Order as made, will authorise the stopping-up only to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted by Stratford-on-Avon District Council on 30th March 1993, under Ref. S92/1169.   Copies of this Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the West Midlands at the offices of the Director, Planning, Transport and Environment, 77 Paradise Circus, Queensway, Birmingham B1 2DT (quoting 5077/35/1/25), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Southam Area Office, Stratford-on-Avon District Council, The Grange, Coventry Road, Southam, Leamington Spa CV33 0ED.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within six weeks of 30th January 1998, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
