NOTICE UNDER SECTION 11(2) OF THE ELECTRICITY ACT 1989

The Director General of Electricity Supply (hereinafter referred to as “the Director”) pursuant to section 11(2) of the Electricity Act 1989 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) hereby gives notice as follows:   (a) He proposes to modify the conditions of the Licence granted to East Midlands Electricity plc under section 6(1)(c) of the Act by inserting a new Condition 2C (Change of financial year) and by amending Condition 1 (Interpretation);   (b) He proposes these modifications to enable the Licence holder to secure consistency of statutory accounting dates with other companies within its group;   (c) The effect of these modifications is to permit the Licence holder, with the Director’s consent, to change the date to which its statutory accounts are made up. A copy of the proposed modifications relating to the Licence can be obtained (free of charge) from the Office of Electricity Regulation. Any representations or objections to the proposed modifications may be made on or before 28 February 1998 to the Director at the Office of Electricity Regulation, Hagley House, 83-85 Hagley Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham B16 8QG.
