Notice of application to vary a licence to abstract water
Take notice that T. S. Wong, of Herongate, Maiden Ley Farm, Castle Hedingham, Essex CO9 3AA, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary a licence serial number 8/37/21/G/78 which authorises the abstraction of water from a chalk borehole at National Grid Reference TL 784 346 at Castle Hedingham, in the district of Braintree, county of Essex. The water being used to maintain the water level in a pond and ditches. The variation being applied for is to abstract 5,000 cubic metres per year at a maximum rate of 20 cubic metres per day from a ditch at National Grid Reference TL 784 345. The water will be used for horticultural purposes. These quantities within those currently licenced. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at the address given above at all reasonable hours between 30th January and 27th February 1998. Any person who may wish to make a representations about this application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency Anglian Region, Eastern Area, Cobham Road, Ipswich Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period.
