The A1 Trunk Road (Brotherton) (Restriction) Order

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 82(2) and 83(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.   The effect of the Order will be that no person shall drive any motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 30 m.p.h. on a length of the A1 northbound exit slip road at Brotherton, which extends from a point 115 metres south-west of its junction with Byram Park Road to a point 75 metres south-west of its junction with Byram Park Road.   A copy of the proposed Order, the relevant plans, and a statement explaining the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected during office hours at the office of North Yorkshire County Council, Canal Road, Selby. Copies may also be seen at or obtained by application to the office of the Director, The Highways Agency, 9th Floor West, PO Box 206, City House, New Station Street, Leeds LS1 4UR.   Any person wishing to object to the Secretary of State’s proposal to make this Order should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the Director’s address above, quoting NNMD 2700/28/1/5.
