The London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames North East Richmond (Parking Places) (Amendment No. ) Order 1998

The London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames Waiting and Loading Restriction (Special Parking Area) (Amendment No. ) Order 1998. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames propose to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 and 124 of, and Part III and Part IV of, Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended) and the Road Traffic Act 1991.   The effects of the proposed Orders will be to:   (a) extend the North East Richmond Controlled Parking Zone, operational between 10 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., on Mondays to Saturdays, to Castlegate, Raleigh Road, St. Paul’s Road and Stanmore Gardens, by introducing resident/business parking spaces to Raleigh Road, St. Paul’s Road and Stanmore Gardens, and resident/business/4 hourly visitor parking spaces to Castlegate;   (b) introduce waiting restrictions, operational between 10 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., on Mondays to Saturdays, to those lengths of the above roads not covered by parking spaces and for 17 metres of Windham Road, from its junction with Raleigh Road.   The parking charges relating to the extended Zone will be as follows:   (a) the visitors (ticket machine and/or voucher) parking charge will be 40p an hour up to a maximum of 4 hours;   (b) the residents’ parking permit charges will be £75 for a permit valid for a period of 24 months, £40 for 12 months, £23 for 6 months and £14 for 3 months;   (c) the residents’ visitors parking permit charges will be £9 for a book of 12 permits or £4.50 a book for residents aged 60 years or over;   (d) the business parking permit charges will be for the first permit per business, £160 for a permit valid for a period of 12 months, £80 for 6 months and £40 for 3 months, and for each additional permit per business, £240 for a permit valid for 12 months, £120 for 6 months and £60 for 3 months.   Copies of the draft Orders, the North East Richmond (Parking Places) (No. 1) Order 1997, and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing the Orders, together with plans showing the lengths of road affect, can be inspected at the:   (a) Civic Centre (Second Floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham, between 9.15 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays;   (b) Central Reference Library, Old Town Hall, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond, during opening hours.   If you wish to object to, or make representation on the proposals, you should write giving the grounds for your objection or representation to the Head of Highways and Transport, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ, to be received by 27th February 1998. 6th February 1998.
