TUNBRIDGE WELLS BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Tunbridge Wells Borough Council (Parking Places) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Tunbridge Wells Borough Council in exercise of their powers under sections 35(1), (2), (3) and (6) and 124(1)(a) and (d) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Parking Act 1989, and Schedule 19 to the Local Government Act 1972 and of all other enabling powers, wth the County Council of Kent in accordance with section 39(3) of the Act of 1984 intend to make an Order, the effect of which will be to provide for:   The relocation and re-enactment of existing parking places orders regulating parking places within the area of the former Borough of Royal Tunbridge Wells subject to the provisions specified below.   The amendment of the parking charges at the following car parks which will result in the following tariff:

  Warwick Road car park will be restricted to season ticket holders at all times.   The car parks will be available for motor cars, motor cycles and invalid carriages except the Town Hall Yard Car Park which will be available for motor cars and invalid carriages only.   A copy of the draft Order and relevant information may be examined during normal office hours at main reception, Town Hall, Royal Tunbridge Wells; and the Highways and Transportation Department, Sandling Block, Springfield, Maidstone.   The proposed Order is due to come into effect on 29th March 1998, but if you wish to object to it, you should send the grounds for your objection in writing, to the undersigned, to be received not later than 6th March 1998.   Please direct telephone enquiries to the Car Park section of Highway Services on Tunbridge Wells 526121.
