SOUTH OXFORDSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL
Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, Section 69
Amendment to the Boundaries of the Conservation Areas at Beckley, North Moreton and Warborough

Notice is hereby given that the South Oxfordshire District Council, in pursuance of its powers under section 69 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990, has amended the boundaries of the Conservation Areas of Beckley, North Moreton and Warborough, which are in the district of South Oxfordshire.   Notice is further given that the amended areas make it an offence, subject to certain exceptions, to demolish any building or structure within the extended area without the consent of the Council as local planning authority.   It is also an offence to fell, top, lop, or in any way damage or destroy a tree within the Conservation Area, unless 6 weeks prior notice in writing is given to the Council. Designation of these areas also has the effect that development permitted under the Town and Country Planning General Development Order 1988 is subject to restrictions and exclusions which do not apply to other areas. Further information may be obtained from the Forestry Officer, PO Box 19, Council Offices, Crowmarsh, Wallingford, (telephone Wallingford 823774), to whom any notices relating to trees in the amended Conservation Area should be sent.   Copies of the plans have been deposited at the Council Offices, Crowmarsh, Wallingford, Oxfordshire, and may be inspected, free of charge, on any weekday during normal office hours.
