Proposed Waiting Restrictions in Waddon Court Road

Notice is hereby given that the London Borough of Croydon, with approval of the Traffic Director for London propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   2. The general effect of the Order would be to amend existing restrictions so that waiting and loading by vehicles will be prohibited at any time throughout the week in the lengths of Waddon Court Road specified in the Schedule to this notice.   3. A copy of the proposed Order (and of all related Orders), of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and of a map indicating the lengths of road to which the proposed Order relates can be inspected for a period of 21 days from the date of this notice, during normal office hours, on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the “One Stop” Facility, Taberner House, Park Lane, Crodyon, Surrey.   4. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Traffic Management Section, Public Services and Works Department, London Borough of Croydon, on 0181-686 4433, extension 3881.   5. Persons desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the Order Making Section, Public Services and Works Department, London Borough of Croydon, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon, Surrey, quoting Ref. TH/SJC/PR/Wandle, within the aforesaid 21 days.   6. The Order is intended to introduce lengths of waiting restrictions to apply at any time throughout the week in Waddon Court Road as its southernmost junction with Purley Way to prevent commuter parking from obstructing the rear service road to the premises in Croydon Road and the south side of Court Drive.   7. Waddon Court Road, the north to south arm,   (a) the east side, between the north-western kerb-line of Purley Way and a point 13.60 metres south of the southern flank wall of No. 41 Waddon Court Road;   (b) the west side, between the north-western kerb-line of Purley Way and a point 3.50 metres south-east of the party wall of Nos. 74 and 76 Waddon Court Road. 4th February 1998.
