NORTHAMPTONSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

The Northamptonshire County Council (A509 Wellingborough Road, Kettering, and Isham Road, Pytchley) (40 m.p.h. Speed Limit) Order 1998. Notice is hereby given that the Northamptonshire County Council have made an Order under sections 84(1) and (2) and Part 3 of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed exceeding 40 m.p.h. on the lengths of road in the A509 Wellingborough Road, Kettering, and Isham Road, Pytchley, as specified in the Schedule below.   A copy of the Order, together with a plan showing the exact lengths of road to which it relates may be inspected at Kettering Library, Sheep Street, Kettering, during its normal opening hours or at the offices of The Head of Legal Services, County Hall, Northampton NN1 1DN, during the hours of 9 a.m. to 12 noon and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Monday to Friday inclusive.   If you wish to question the validity of the Order, or of any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from 12th February 1998, apply to the High Court for this purpose.   This Order will become effective on 16th February 1998. (Lengths of roads to become subject to 40 m.p.h. maximum speed limit)

   A509 Wellingborough Road, Kettering, from a point 20 metres south of its junction with Patrick Road to a point 155 metres south of its junction with the A14 Interchange, including the whole of the Pytchley Road roundabout, the Venture Park roundabout and the A14 Interchange roundabout.    Isham Road, Pytchley, from its junction with the A509/A14 Interchange for a distance of 90 metres in a southerly direction. 12th February 1998.
