The Hounslow (Prescribed Route) (No.  ) Order 199 

River Gardens, Feltham—Width Restriction

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Hounslow propose to make the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.   The general effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles the overall width of which together with the load (if any) carried thereon exceeds 7 feet proceeding in that length of carriageway of River Gardens, Feltham, which lies between a point 12.00 metres north of a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 11 and 15 River Gardens and a point 15.00 metres north of that party wall.   Exemption would be provided in the Order in respect of:   (i) any vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes in an emergency;   (ii) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform;   (iii) anything done in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the highway by the Metropolitan Police.   A copy of the proposed Order, of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and of a plan depicting the length of road to which the Order relates can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of a period of 21 days from the date on which this Notice is published in the Environmental Services Reception Area at the Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow TW3 4DN.   Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Environmental Services Department, telephone number 0181-862 5429.   Any person desiring to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the Director of Environmental Services, The Civic Centre, Lampton Road, Hounslow, Middlesex TW3 4DN, quoting Ref.
