SOLIHULL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Metropolitan Borough of Solihull (B4104 Birmingham Road and Main Road, Meriden) (Speed Limit) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council have made the above-mentioned Order under the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.   The effect of the Order, which will come into force on 20th February 1998, will be to:   (i) Reduce the existing 50 m.p.h. speed limit, down to 40 m.p.h., along B4104 Main Road, Meriden, from a point just east of its junction with Albert Road, in a westerly direction, to a point just east of its westerly junction with Church Lane.   (ii) Reduce the existing 40 m.p.h. speed limit, down to 30 m.p.h., along:       (a) B4104 Main Road, Meriden, from a point just east of its westerly junction with Church Lane, in a westerly direction, to its junction with the traffic island at B4104 Birmingham Road, Meriden, and;       (b) B4104 Birmingham Road, Meriden, from its junction with the traffic island at B4104 Main Road, Meriden, for a short distance in a north-westerly direction, and;   (iii) Reduce the existing 60 m.p.h. speed limit, down to 30 m.p.h., along B4104 Birmingham Road, Meriden, from the north-westerly point detailed in (ii)(b) above, for a further short distance in a north-westerly direction.   A copy of the Order, together with a map and details of the Councils reasons for making it, may be inspected at the Council Offices, Solihull, during normal office hours. Anyone wishing to question the validity of the above Order should apply to the High Court in writing for that purpose within 6 weeks from the date of this notice. N. H.
