ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
The A50 Trunk Road (Derby Southern By-pass) and the B6540 County Road (24 Hours Clearway) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions has made an Order, under sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2) and 4(1) of and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will come into force on Monday, 16th February 1998.   The effect of the Order is as described in Issue No. 13962 of The London Gazette dated 12th December 1997. Ref. No. 875.   A copy of the Order, together with a plan and a statement explaining the Secretary of State’s reasons for making the Order, may be inspected during normal working hours at Etwell Library, Main Street, Etwell; Castle Donnington Library, Delven Lane, Castle Donnington; South Derbyshire District Council, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, and at North West Leicestershire District Council, Council Offices, Coalville, Leicestershire, or may be seen at or obtained by application to the offices of the Director, The Highways Agency, Network and Customer Services Division, Room 705, Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE, quoting Ref. NNMD/1000/41/29/1.   Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision on the grounds that it is not within the powers contained in the above Act or any requirement of the above Act or any Instrument made under it has not been complied with, may apply to the High Court before Thursday, 26th March 1998, to suspend or quash the Order or any part of it.   The contact for any further information about this notice is John Simpson, telephone number 0161-930 5621.
