Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Bristol 2000, Wildscreen World of Canons Marsh, Bristol, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the Floating Harbour, Bristol, at National Grid Reference ST 5850 7250 at the Floating Harbour, Bristol. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 144 cubic metres per hour (peak), 2,300 cubic metres per day (peak), 550,000 cubic metres per year (peak) between January and December. The water will be used for a non-evaporative cooling heat pump. 100 per cent of the water abstracted is to be returned to the source.
  A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Bristol 2000, Deanery Road, Bristol BS1 5DB, between 16th February 1998 and 23rd March 1998.
  Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, North Wessex Area Office, Rivers House, East Quay, Bridgewater, Somerset TA6 4YS, before the end of the said period.
