ELLESMERE PORT AND NESTON BOROUGH COUNCIL
The Borough of Ellesmere Port and Neston (20 m.p.h. Speed Limit) (East Neston) Order 1998
Notice is hereby given that the Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council (on behalf of Cheshire County Council, pursuant to arrangements made under section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972), propose to make an Order under sections 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of the Police, in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, and with the consent of the Secretary of State, in accordance with paragraph 13 of Part II of Schedule 9 to the Act. The effects of which will be as follows: To make unlawful the driving of a vehicle at a speed exceeding 20 m.p.h. in the undermentioned lengths of roads in East Neston: All roads in the Borough of Ellesmere Port and Neston, within an area bounded by: (a) Liverpool Road (B5136); (b) Bidston to Wrexham railway line; (c) Hinderton Road (B5134); (d) and including Breezehill Road, Gunn Grove, Blackeys Lane, Raby Park Road to and including its junction with Hawkins Road, Sidney Road and Sidney Close. Full details of the proposal are contained in the draft Order which, together with the relevant plan showing the roads concerned and the Council’s statement of reasons for making the proposed Order, may be inspected during all reasonable hours at the Head of Technical Services Offices, 4th Floor, 4 Civic Way, Ellesmere Port. Any objections to the draft Order should be sent in writing, stating the grounds of the objection, to the undersigned to arrive by not later than 12th March 1998. P. W.
