The Borough of Watford (North Watford and Garston Area) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 1998

Notice is hereby given that the Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for the Hertfordshire County Council, proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 1, 2, 4, 32 and 35 and Part II and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order would be to:   1. Reduce the existing prohibition of waiting at any time from 15 to 10 metres at the following locations:    Boundary Way (north-west arm), at its junction with Horseshoe Lane;    Bradshaw Road (north-west side), each side of its junctions with Bruce Grove, Salisbury Road and Yarmouth Grove; south-west of its junction with Cromer Road and north-east of its junction with Hatfield Road;    Bushey Mill Crescent north-west arm (both sides), at its junction with Bushey Mill Lane;    Cromer Road (both sides), at its junction with Bradshaw Road;    Hatfield Road (both sides), at its junction with Bradshaw Road;    Parkgate Road (both sides), at its junction with Bushey Mill Lane;    Salisbury Road (both sides), at its junction with Bradshaw Road;    Sandringham Road (both sides), at its junction with Bushey Mill Lane;    Southwold Road (both sides), at its junction with Bushey Mill Lane;    Yarmouth Road (both sides), at its junction with Bradshaw Road.   2. Reduce the existing prohibition of waiting at any time at Gammons Lane (north-east side) south-east of the turning head from 32 to 25 metres.   3. Prohibit waiting at any time for a distance of 10 metres at the following locations:    All Saints Crescent (both sides), at its junction with The Glebe;    Clarke Green (both sides), at its junction with Clarke Way;    Linden Lea (both sides), at its junction with High Road;    The Glebe (south side), each side of its junction with All Saints Crescent;    Tudor Walk (both sides), at its south west junction with Tudor Avenue.   4. Prohibit waiting at any time at the following locations:    Clive Way (both sides), for 30 metres from the western end, including the turning head;    The Glebe (north side), for 30 metres opposite its junction with All Saints Crescent;    First Avenue (both sides), for 15 metres at its junction with Fourth Avenue;    Fourth Avenue (north-west side), for 15 metres north-east of its junction with First Avenue.   5. Convert the existing prohibition of waiting at any time to Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. on Balmoral Road (north-east side) between a point 15 metres south-east of Sandringham Road and a point 15 metres south-east of Norfolk Avenue.   6. Remove the existing restriction of waiting Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. on Balmoral Road (south-west side).   7. Reduce the extent of the existing restriction of waiting Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. from 15 to 10 metres at the following locations:    Bushey Mill Crescent south-eastern arm (both sides), at its junction with Bushey Mill Lane;    Diamond Road (both sides), at its junction with Leavesden Road;    Garfield Street (both sides), at its junction with Leavesden Road;    Jubilee Road (both sides), at its junction with Leavesden Road;    Northfield Gardens (both sides), at both junctions with Bushey Mill Lane;    Parker Street (both sides), at its junction with Leavesden Road;    Stanmore Road (both sides), at its junction with Leavesden Road.   8. Reduce the extent of the existing restriction of waiting Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. on Leavesden Road (south-west side) to 15 metres north west of Jubilee Road, 15 metres south-east of Callowland Close and 15 metres north-west of Shakespeare Street.   9. Introduce new restriction of waiting; Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. for a distance of 10 metres at the following junctions:    Buckingham Road (both sides), at its junction with Parkgate Road and east of its junction with Sandringham Road;    Buckingham Road (south side), west of its junction with Sandringham Road;    Byron Avenue (both sides), at its junctions with Devon Road and Eastfield Road;    Devon Road (east side), each side of its junction with Byron Avenue;    Eastfield Road (west side), each side of its junction with Byron Avenue;    Parkgate Road (west side), each side of its junction with Buckingham Road;    Sandringham Road (both sides), each side of its junction with Buckingham Road.   10. Introduce new restriction of waiting Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Balmoral Road (north-east side) between its junction with Radlett Road and a point 15 metres south-east of its junction with Norfolk Avenue.   11. Introduce new restriction of waiting Monday to Friday 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations:    Clive Way (both sides), for 15 metres at its junction with Colonial Way;    Colonial Way (north side), between its junction with Imperial Way and a point 45 metres west of its junction with Radlett Road;    Colonial Way (south side), between its junction with Imperial Way and a point 15 metres west of its junction with Rhodes Way and between points 15 and 44 metres east of its junction with Rhodes Way;    Imperial Way (both sides), between its junctions with Balmoral Road and Colonial Way;    Rhodes Way (east side), between a point 15 metres west of its junction with Colonial Way and the end of the road, including the turning head.   12. Introduce new peak period loading restrictions Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. on Sheepcot Lane (both sides) at its junction with St. Albans Road for 50 metres.   13. All other existing restrictions in this area will remain unchanged.   Details of the proposals are set out in the Draft Order, which together with the relevant map and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined during normal office hours at the One Stop Shop, Town Hall, Watford, Objections to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to be received by me at the address below by Friday, 13th March 1998.
