The Borough of Watford (Park, Nascot and Leggatts Area) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 1998
Notice is hereby given that the Watford Borough Council, acting as agents for the Hertfordshire County Council, proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 1, 2, 4, 32 and 35 and Part II and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order would be to: 1. Prohibit waiting at any time for a distance of 10 metres at the following locations: Bellamy Close (both sides) at its junction with Langley Road Courtlands Drive (south-east side) each side of its junction with Hudson Close Hudson Close (both sides) at its junction with Courtlands Drive Langley Way (north-west side) at its junction with Coningesby Road Langley Way (south-east side) at its junction with Parkside Drive Parkside Drive (north-east side) at its junction with Langley Way. 2. Extend the existing prohibition of waiting at any time at Longspring (south-east side): an additional 64 metres at its junction with St. Albans Road to its junction with Fuller Road. 3. Prohibit waiting at any time at the following locations: Coningesby Drive (north-east side) between its junction with Langley Way and its north-western end Strangeways (south-side) for 15 metres from its junction with Courtlands Drive Stratford Road (south-east side) between its junction with Langley Road and a point 10 metres south-west of its junction with Lorane Court. 4. Reduce the extent of the existing restriction of waiting Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. at Chilcott Road (north-east side) to 15 metres at its junction with Courtlands Drive. 5. Introduce new restriction of waiting: Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., for a distance of 10 metres at the following junctions: Bellmount Wood Avenue (both sides) at its junction with Langley Way Berceau Walk (both sides) at its junction with Langley Way Capelvere Walk (both sides) at its junction with Langley Way De Vere Walk (both sides) at its junction with Langley Way Devereux Drive (both sides) at its junction with Langley Way Harford Drive (both sides) at its junction with Langley Way Langley Way (north-west side) each side of its junctions with Bellmount Wood Avenue, Capelvere Walk, Devereux Drive, Harford Drive and Trefusis Walk Langley Way (south-east side) each side of its junctions with Berceau Walk, De Vere Walk, Orchard Drive, Richmond Drive and Woodland Drive Orchard Drive (both sides) at its junction with Langley Way Parkside Drive (north-east side) each side of its junction with Stratford Way Richmond Drive (both sides) at its junction with Langley Way Stratford Way (both sides) at its junction with Parkside Road Trefusis Walk (both sides) at its junction with Langley Way Woodland Drive (both sides) at its junction with Langley Way. 6. Reduce the extent of the existing restriction of waiting Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., at the following locations: Beechwood Rise (south-west side) between points 30 metres and 35 metres north-west of its junction with St. Albans Road and between points 50 metres north-west of its junction with St. Albans Road and 15 metres north-west of its junction with Hazel Tree Road Leggatts Wood Avenue (north-east side) between points 20 metres and 50 metres north of its junction with St. Albans Road and between points 90 metres north-west of its junction with St. Albans Road and 15 metres north-west of its junction with Hazel Tree Road. 7. Revise the existing restrictions to introduce new limited waiting: 1 hour in 2 hours, Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., on Longspring (north-west side) between points 20 metres and 50 metres south-west of its junction with St. Albans Road. 8. Introduce new parking place for Orange Badge holders on Peace Prospect (south-eastern arm, north-west side) for 20 metres. 9. Introduce new peak period loading restrictions: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., on Hempstead Road (south-west side), between its junctions with the south-eastern and north-western arms of Peace Prospect. 10. All other existing restrictions in this area will remain unchanged. Details of the proposals are set out in the draft Order, which together with the relevant map and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be examined during normal office hours at the One Stop Shop, Town Hall, Watford. Objections to the proposals, together with the grounds on which they are made, must be sent in writing to be received by me at the address below by Friday, 13th March 1998. J.
